Hours of Working: 8:30am – 5pm (potentially flexible for the right candidate)

Our client is an independently owned manufacturer and distributor of a full range of corrugated packaging, packaging materials, polythene, void fill & protective packaging systems, they supply a wide range of market sectors including online retail, engineering, IT, health and beauty, other fragile goods.

They are currently looking to recruit an Estimator to ensure all enquiries that are made via customer services or via field sales visits, are returned to the customer as speedily as possible. Ensure that all purchase order delivery dates are met and that customers are kept informed of late deliveries and offered alternatives to items out of stock.

Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • To ensure that all stock enquiries are turned round within four hours, with the exception of tenders or large enquiries that may require more detailed input from the Account managers.  To prioritise and ensure that all straight forward bespoke enquiries are turned round next day
  • Proactively contact suppliers ahead of due delivery dates to ensure that all purchase orders are delivered on schedule.  If not ensure that the customer is kept fully informed of any delay, and offered alternatives if appropriate
  • Ensure that if a customer order for stock items is incomplete that they are contacted and offered an alternative as soon as possible after the order is placed. 
  • To secure a conversion rate on enquiries of 33% as a result of fast turnaround of enquiries, and appropriate sourcing
  • To process all enquiries within 2 hours of receiving
  • Liaise with purchasing team to ensure that you obtain best value for money
  • Ensure straightforward bespoke Enquiries are returned to the customer within 24 hours
  • Ensure that stock enquiries are returned to the customer within four hours
  • Liaise with Account managers to ensure that enquiries meet and exceed the expectations of the customer
  • Progress all stock and bespoke orders by phone or email to ensure they are on schedule
  • Manage the delivery of samples to customer arising from enquiries
  • Phone customers to advise of delivery date of balance orders and offer alternatives - Email if phone contact is not possible
  • Managing the day to day completion of enquiries and expediting of orders
  • Reporting to the Sales Manager
