Qualifications required:

  • University degree or technical equivalent

  • Experience in the Pharma and/or OTC packaging (or similar regulated industries) related to material selection, pack design, pack testing and pack systems

    OR experience working for a Primary (product Contact) Package Material Manufacturer supplying to the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Experience in project management with ability to manage global cross-functional project teams.

  • Experience with senior stakeholder management

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • Analytical thinking.

  • Excellent data manipulation skills (e.g. excel pivot tables)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of emerging packaging trends/ innovations happening globally.

  • Experience of working with External Suppliers

  • Knowledge of packaging laws

  • Good understanding of the market and competition in the area of Packaging.

  • Application of new ideas & concepts to meet business needs.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE?

  • Define and agree Child Resistance (CR) pack platform solutions for all pack formats that will require conversion to CR packaging

  • Support sites and External Suppliers as they plan and implement CR packaging

  • Lead the Pack Design stream to deliver against the Project plan

  • Align strongly with other Streams within the Project, Pack Shared Service and packaging operational Design and testing group.

WHAT WILL YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

Pack Design

  • Complete CR pack platform designs for blisters, bottles (solid dose, suspensions and liquids),sachets and strip packs

  • Work with operational design groups to define CR pack platform solutions where they don’t exist (e.g. paper wraps) , develop relevant pack design strategies or niche packaging solutions

  • Document pack platform design standards and specifications – ensure integration with Equipment guidelines

  • Agree supplier strategies to support standard pack designs

  • Align solutions with deliverables

Implementation Support

  • Support sites and External Suppliers as they plan and implement CR packaging

  • Develop CR pack implementation guidelines for sites

  • Work closely with Engineering and Packaging to manage ongoing CR requests and queries

  • Ensure awareness within the team of any CR Regulatory changes or changes to market dynamics

  • Identify opportunities to influence CR Regulations / external environment

General

  • Engage nominated stakeholders around stream progress & delivery

  • Project Manage all Stream activities

  • Manage the Stream members

  • Adhere to project protocols

  • Play an active role as a member of the Project Leadership team
