Office Based New Business Development Executive – Packaging (PK4581)                                         

Wiltshire / Dorset / Hampshire

£Open (Depending On Experience) – OTE Around £30K - The OTE is an easily achieved target

Hours of Working: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Our client is an independently owned manufacturer and distributor of a full range of corrugated packaging, packaging materials, polythene and protective packaging systems, they supply a wide range of market sectors including online retail, engineering, IT, health and beauty, other fragile goods.

They are currently looking to recruit an Office Based New Business Development Executive to ensure a sufficient quantity of leads that fit are generated to meet the company’s growth plan.

The chosen candidate will make telephone contact with prospects, confirm that prospects match the company’s target customer profile, create interest in products and services, and crucially secure business development meetings for Field Sales Representatives.

Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • Performance objective - To make appointments with five or more SQLs per week
  • Contact new prospects to inform them of their products and services
  • Proactively work data to ensure a structured contact strategy is in place agreed with the Sales Manager
  • Manage and accurately update their CRM Database
  • Secure qualified appointments for field sales in line with targets set
  • Update and research prospect data to improve on the quality of current and future prospects
  • Consistently achieve your personal KPIs, whilst contributing to the overall success of business
  • Contribute to the team performance by sharing and implementing best practice ideas
  • Manage and proactively approach a new business prospects through planned sales campaigns
  • To be positive and friendly at all times

Skills Required:

  • My client is looking for a driven and target focussed person.
  • 2 Years’ experience in telemarketing or telesales
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs grades A-C (or equivalent)
  • Good communication skills - including listening as well as speaking
  • Ability to engage with the prospects and build rapport
  • An understanding of the sales process, and an ability to ‘close’ at the right moment so that a high number of qualified leads are converted to appointments
  • Accurate record keeping
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including; PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and internet applications
  • Track record of sales or account management
  • Previous experience of building and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Communicating in a B2B environment at various levels up to Director level
