Area Sales Executive | Food Packaging | Midlands & East Anglia | £35k-£40k Basic + Bonus/OTE


With specialist experience in container manufacturing, this company supplies many areas of the fresh produce market with high quality disposable, thermoformed punnets, lids and trays. A profitable and growing business, in addition they house state of the art facilities for a stand-alone machine to a fully integrated packaging line, consumables and printed labels to an expanding customer base including all the major supermarkets, multi-national food manufacturers and a wide range of food service, industrial and fresh produce companies.


As Area Sales Executive you will be responsible for:

  • Selling tailor made packaging solutions to customers within the fresh produce sector across the East side of the UK
  • Establishing a new and profitable customer base selling a range of punnets, lids, overwrapping trays, tray liners, film and labels
  • Utilising your knowledge to provide effective solutions to all customers within the fresh produce market
  • Ensuring business is secured and closed within expected timescales
  • Building long-term, profitable relationships


You will need to be based centrally on patch in order to cover the East side of the country to the best of your ability.


Additional requirements needed:

  • A proven track record of sales success selling to the food sector including; fresh produce, growers and packers for the multiples
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confidence to ensure you are able to offer fantastic packaging solutions
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to build relationships and maximise existing accounts
