Hours of Work - 37.5 Hours Per Week With Alternating Shifts:
Week 1: Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:00pm (30 min lunch break)
Week 2: Monday to Friday – 10:00am to 6:00pm (30 min lunch break)

Our client is a well-established independent corrugated manufacturer supplying to a variety of markets throughout the UK. They have a turnover in excess of £12 million and employ around 80 staff.

The successful candidate will work in the Commercial team which will involve the following:


Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • Develop and utilise commercial knowledge and judgment to final place estimates
  • Utilise Packaging 3000 software to generate estimates for clients
  • Using AG CAD software to create basic corrugated packaging designs for customers supplying the industrial and consumer markets and, where appropriate liase with manufacturing to ensure all designs can be produced economically
  • Sample making using Konsberg cutting table
  • Acquire an understanding of the manufacturing process involved in the production of corrugated packaging at all sites
  • Create simple print diagrams in Adobe Illustrator
  • Analyse customer tenders using Excel and recommend pricing levels to Senior Managers

Key Skills:

  • Commercial acumen
  • Structural design skills are advantageous but full training will be given
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Confident telephone manner
