Senior Sales Manager | Flexible Packaging | UK & Ireland | £50k-£55k

Specialists in the manufacture of plastic flexible packaging, this company services a wide variety of market sectors with co-extruded polythene films (plain & printed), multi layer laminate structures, pre-made plastic bags and pouches, and active film technology. With an outstanding R&D division, they offer high quality laminates, form fill and seal and barrier materials for stand up pouches, re-sealable bags plus microwavable packaging, with extensive capabilities in flexo, hi-definition and gravure printing.

As Senior Sales Manager your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Targeting and winning new business
  • Working within the Food/Personal Care/Pharmaceutical/Healthcare sectors
  • Working with existing customers to develop relationships
  • Participating in customer developments and assisting at a technical level where needed
  • Working in close daily liaison with internal departments/functions at international sites
  • Reporting to the UK/IRL Regional Manager

Key attributes required:

  • Flexible packaging experience, ideally in the market sector of Food/Personal Care/Pharmaceutical/Healthcare
  • A demonstrable track record of managing a portfolio of customers with the ability to develop new and existing business
  • Computer literate – comfortable working with Excel Spreadsheets, MS Word, e-mail and computerised sales management systems
  • Good communicator and able negotiator
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to manage long term relationships
  • Based in the UK
