Sales Development Manager
Maxipos is looking for a Sales Development Manager to join our small, but ambitious company to create new sales leads and generate new business within the corrugated packaging market.
Maxipos is a well-established agency who provide bespoke packaging solutions (cartons, rigid boxes, corrugated shippers, acetate boxes, carrier bags etc.) and other marketing products (print, POS and GWP) to some of the best-known brands in the UK through a global supply base of factories. Our main clients are long-standing and are from the Health & Beauty and Cosmetics sectors but we are currently expanding into other areas such as Fashion and e-commerce.

As a growing business, we rarely settle for the status quo, and are always aiming to provide a high quality, attentive and quick response service to our clients, offering the best quality product and price solutions, according to their requests.
Our Sales Development Manager will fit into this process. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director to set a strong sales strategy and targets. The emphasis will be on creating new and relevant business opportunities for our corrugated packaging services, win projects on a continuous basis, and build meaningful relationships with clients.
We will provide you with a detailed knowledge of our projects and processes. You’ll get to know our in-house supply/account management team and you will project manage an effective handover of client’s requirements to them.
Essentially, we are looking for someone to join Maxipos who wants to shape how business development is done and who wants an opportunity for their role to grow within the business as it develops.

You care about presentation and how a message is received. You understand the Maxipos service and the importance of expertly communicating our value to potential and existing clients.
You know how to build a network so that it’s easier for you to find leads and you know how to make the most of the relationships with existing clients to yield wider business opportunities.
Whether through presentations or 1-1 coffees, you’re an excellent communicator and highly-skilled in getting a message across.
You understand the importance of keeping up-to-date and ahead of all leads and enquiries; you are persistent but personable/ charismatic and you follow things up, no stone is left unturned.
A proven track record of winning, growing and retaining new business
A wide exposure to business relationships with blue chip companies and major brands.
Ideally a background selling packaging solutions with a focus on corrugated packaging.
Client account management, ideally with experience of managing major brand’s accounts.
Experience of developing packaging solutions to meet the client’s needs
Technical knowledge of corrugated packaging and ability to create technical briefs based on the client’s requirements
Print and finishing knowledge
Excellent IT skills, particularly with Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Day-to-day Mac experience would be useful.
Salary: £30-40k, flexible for the right candidate
Maxipos is based in Wheatley near Oxford.
