PK5038 - SALES MANAGER                                      

HOMEBASED 

£25- £35K (depending on experience) + Commission + Car Allowance + Pension + Laptop + Mobile

The role can be trainee / junior level or experience level.  The role could split it between office account management and field Sales.

Our client is a national distributor of catering, bar and janitorial products. They provide various client markets with crockery, cutlery, bakeware, glassware, food service, indoor waste products, waste recycling products, cookware, janitorial and cleaning products. 
They are currently looking to recruit a Sales Manager to develop new business within the Southern Region. 

Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • Generate sales from a portfolio of accounts 
  • Achieve annual sales targets 
  •  Meet / exceed required company budgets 
  • Develop new accounts and business 
  • Research new sales opportunities within the existing portfolio of accounts and identify new potential customers within the targeted area
  • Maintain an awareness of sales and other developments amongst competitors and pass any relevant information to the appropriate company staff
  • Maintain all required records of sales and other relevant information to enable performance to be measured and monitored
  • Weekly Sales reporting on customers and new business
  • Convert customers from old to new improved product ranges
  • Represent the company to all outside contacts in a professional manner such that provides an image of a business that they would feel comfortable to be associated with
  • Manage customer expectations with regards to service, delivery and prod
  • Provide customers and potential customers with information about company products and services
  • Introduce new products to market 
  • Maintain awareness of sales and other development amongst competitors, passing any relevant information to company staff 
  • Monitor feedback from customers to measure their satisfaction with company products
  •  Assist colleagues with the peaks and troughs of workflow
  • Read and comply with all notices and memos that are issued within the company
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties required of you by the management team
  • Comply with all company health and safety requirements and conduct yourself in a manner that does not compromise the safety of themselves, colleagues or visitors to site
  • Be actively involved in the development of new products and new literature 
  • Promote new products and existing products to new markets
  • Explore potential export markets
  • Reporting to the Managing Director
