Excellent opportunity to join a highly successful company specialising in packaging solutions to the Fresh Produce sector, selling core product plus pioneering two additional products in their portfolio.

SALARY: Up to £45,000

BENEFITS: Commission (OTE £10,000) + Car + Pension Private medical cover for family + 25 days holiday rising to 30

LOCATION: Working from home covering East Anglia, Kent & the South East of England

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Cambridge, Bury St. Edmunds, Kings Lynn, Spalding, Norwich, Haverhill, Colchester, Maidstone, Canterbury, Ashford, Folkestone


You will be responsible for the sales of their core products, such as: Net Packaging, Flow Wrappers, Checkweighers, Labellers and Metal Detectors, to growers and packers in the Fresh Produce sector, mainly Soft & Citrus fruits and vegetables,

In addition, you will be targeting companies within the above sectors with two new products: Fresh Produce Grading Systems – which is recognised as a world leader - and Factory optimisation & error prevention control systems.

Order values can vary immensely from £10,000 to £100,000+ and sales cycles can be anything from 2 months to Project sales of 1yr+

You will be working with existing and new clients, supported by an extremely proactive marketing team who will provide leads in addition to your own lead generation.

Product training will be provided in the UK and Spain in addition to which you will benefit from unrivalled technical and commercial support and back up.

REQUIREMENTS - Sales Manager

In return for the support and training you must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

* Capital equipment sales experience, including Capex Projects-
* Strong Business Development experience
* Territory Management & Planning
* Lead Generation
* Account Management
* Consultative & Conceptual sales ability

Although not necessary, any experience of selling packaging or process machinery into the food sector would be advantageous.

One of the UK’s leading providers of specialist packaging and marking equipment for the food industry, providing complete solutions including net packaging, checkweighers and metal detectors, inkjet marking and labelling systems.

Established market leadership in the UK fruit and vegetable packaging market over the last 30 years with its range of Giro netting machines and consumables. Whilst these packs have been an established feature on the shelves of the UK’s major supermarket chains for some years, the company has recently introduced a number of new ranges which have developed its position still further within the UK food & beverage industry.
Their range of products now includes checkweighers and metal detectors, customised print & apply label systems, inkjet coding and marking machines including high resolution piezo inkjet system for printing outer cases.

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Capital Equipment Sales, Technical Sales, Cap-Ex sales projects, Area Sales, Territory Sales.
