A global manufacturer of Product Inspection Systems, selling a range of products into the food sector has an opportunity for a Capital Equipment Salesperson to join their successful sales team, based from home, covering The Midlands & North West England

SALARY: Up to £40,000

BENEFITS: Commission (OTE £50,000) + Car + Pension + 25 Days holiday + Bank Holidays + Laptop + Mobile

LOCATION: Field based, working from home, covering The Midlands & North West England

JOB SPECIFICATION: Technical Sales Manager – Capital Equipment

As an experienced Capital Equipment Salesperson, you will be responsible for sales of Metal Detection Equipment to a wide range of business within the food manufacturing & processing industry, with typical order values ranging from £10,000.00 up to £100,000.00.

Each system is bespoke, therefore the ability to assimilate information and turn that information into a solution based offering will be critical to the success of the individual.

Given the nature of the sale, you could be dealing with a number of stakeholders in the decision making process and could involve Capex. exposure, accordingly you may be involved in Multi-level sales presentations.

Working from home, your main remit will be to identify and close opportunities with new customers, whilst maintaining strong relationships and identifying opportunities with existing customers throughout the Southern half of England. The split between new and existing business will be approximately 70% / 30% in favour of new business.

Full product training will be provided and you will be supported by the Head of UK sales, as well as a qualified technical team, who are based at the UK Headquarters.

REQUIREMENTS: Technical Sales Manager – Capital Equipment

As a professional sales person you will not require direct experience of selling into the food sector, however, to be successful, you should possess the following skills and attributes

* A hunger and desire to succeed and deliver beyond expectations
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to negotiate and close sales effectively
* Demonstrable Capital Equipment sales experience
* Proven New business development
* Account Management
* Territory Management and planning
* Experience of working from home, managing your diary
* Multi-level sales
* Attention to detail

It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Capital Equipment Sales, Technical Sales, Industrial Sales.
