Reports to:    Executive VP Sales and Development

The Role:

The Global Category Director is responsible for meeting the goals of the category; Dispensing Closures. You are expected to be a strong leader for a global team, setting a strategy, implementing and subsequently contribute to the overall success of the company. 

Main Areas of Responsibility:

•    Based on marketing information setting the strategy and the goals for the category
•    Successfully implementing the strategy within the category
•    Actively monitoring and measuring  the goals and ensure that the progress is made within the team
•    Installing actions and plans to recover deviation on the goals
•    Analysing and exploring  the market trends and assure the goals and plans are aligned with the trends and leads to further growth
•    Built and maintain relationship with key customers in their category, understand their needs and growth the business
•    Market introduction of new innovations and initiating roll out programs on a  global scale

Key Performance Indicators:

•    Sales and gross profit levels
•    Performance against the goals and strategy
•    New sales and gross profit realized
•    Retain and replacements sales and gross profit
•    New product sales and developments

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:    

Candidates are expected to have, or eventually progress towards, the following:

•    A Bachelor or Master Degree  in Engineering or Economics / Business
•    Advance certificates in sales and sales management
•    Proven track record in  sales management on senior level 
•    At least 5 years’ experience in the field of (plastic) packaging and / or dispensing closures – ideally towards personal care
•    Proactive and dynamic approach towards realising the goals and the plans

Competencies:

•    Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
•    Strong man management skills
•    A strong drive to realise business goals and growth
•    Understanding of business policies in an international companies
•    Excellent Reporting skills
•    Excellent English and ideally German language skills
