The client:
Our client is a global force in the manufacturing of minerals and compounds that deliver high value-added, functional solutions to a great number of sectors, from processing industries to consumer goods and building products.
The business is expanding their performance additives division through the acquisition of a leading plastics compounding and recycling company, which develops high-quality products from recycled polymers. Growth will be enabled through substantial investment and a talented sales professional is required to support and drive this development. 

The role:

Key Responsibilities:
·    Maintain and develop existing and new customers
·    Identification of market potential in regard to both current products and new applications
·    Monitor market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
·    Develop and improve the current market positioning of the company
·    Assist with budget preparation
·    Liaise with sister companies in the USA and China on regional marketing requirements
·    Successfully negotiate contracts with customers, utilising strong commercial acumen to maximise the success of the business
·    Provide technical support to customers through close co-ordination with R&D
·    Provide customers with technical assistance in analysing their products and quality needs and support them with problem solving

This position requires: 

·    Experienced sales professional within polymer recycling or compounding 
·    In-depth knowledge of the plastic recycling market 
·    A minimum of 5 years commercial experience in a customer facing role providing a consultative sell for  technical products.  
·    Problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
·    Ability to effectively communicate with people from all levels inside and outside of the organization
·    Ability to perform multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
·    Teamwork and a keen sense of responsibility
·    Problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
·    Must be prepared to travel extensively
·    Adept at building productive relationships at existing customers as well as generating new business opportunities with new target accounts
