Great opportunity within a niche food business supplying both branded and own label products into all the major multiples.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Buyer with fantastic interpersonal skills and a real can do approach. A leading food manufacturing business who have invested heavily over the last couple of years are now looking for an experienced Buyer to join the team and be responsible for all of the packaging and indirect services spend. The role would suit a real self-starter who thrives in working in a fast-paced environment.

A key part of this role is developing internal stakeholder relationships within a multi-site business, so confidence and great communication skills are essential. You will also be responsible for negotiating prices with new and existing suppliers, tracking market trends and manage all NPD sourcing in line with category plans. You'll have excellent market knowledge and will keep up to date on new initiatives, price movement and trends.

Candidates will have experience of working within a busy manufacturing environment and using MRP systems with strong Excel and word skills. Ideally previous category knowledge across flexible, corrugate or carton packaging would be highly advantageous along with general indirect services knowledge.
