Maintenance Manager
Based in Oman

Basic Salary of 3,000 – 3,50OMR monthly (equivalent to £5,500 to £7,500 dependant on exchange rate)
Which includes a proportion allocated for Housing Allowance, Transportation. Health Insurance and schooling for 2 children.

Established in 2006 and strategically located on the southern coast of Oman, this company has emerged as one of the largest polymer manufacturers in the Middle East
Primary role:
Reporting to the Director Site Manufacturing, the maintenance manager will lead, direct and support the plant maintenance team to maintain all site equipment and machinery assets in a safe, efficient and reliable condition, to maximize productive availability and minimize cost.
Prepare and manage annual budget

You will have a management responsibility for a team of about 76, of which around 22 people are engineers.
The plant operates on a 24/7 basis, with the team typically working over a 45 hours week. Shifts are based on 12 hours/per day, for 4 days a week with 3 hours of overtime. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
To develop plant Maintenance strategy aligned with the plant business objectives.
To lead and develop the plant Maintenance team driving a culture of strong performance management and development to ensure that individuals realize their own potential and achieve business objectives. 
To provide and monitor plant wide systems for the adherence to Company and Department policies and statutory regulations for health, safety and environment.
To implement and monitor Maintenance strategy using SAP PM system for all Maintenance activities and spares management 
To plan and control the Maintenance and Utility budget to deliver the most cost effective results.
To work in partnership with other Department managers to improve key business results and promote a professional manufacturing team culture.
To work in partnership with key suppliers to improve performance of equipment and reduced maintenance costs.
To identify and action opportunities for improvements within the Maintenance function and promote a continuous improvement culture.
To manage site Maintenance services to meet requirements and drive improvements to all key metrics.
To support the Plant Manager to develop and regularly review the capacity plan and to propose investment activities to address any shortfalls. 
To manage all plant capital engineering projects to ensure successful completion within cost, quality and time targets.

Personal profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering . 
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a plastics industry maintenance roles including 5 years at a management level.
