AREA SALES MANAGER                                    HOMEBASED

Territory: CAN BE ANYWHERE IN THE UK – Territory will be defined around the candidate’s location 

£ Open Depending on Experience + 28 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Free Lunch + Pension (after 6 Months) + Car / Car Allowance + Laptop + Mobile 
               
Hours of Work: 5 days / 42.5 hours per week - 7:00am till 4:00pm + 30 minute lunch break 

Our client is a well-established Corrugated Sheet plant and Packaging Materials supplier, providing their clients with a full range of packaging materials including pallet wrap, polythene, protective packaging, tape, strapping, bags corrugated boxes.  They also have a separate division dedicated to packaging machinery including: advanced pallets wrapping machines along with Nano films technology and also a range of paper pad & voidfil machines along with air pillow machines.

They are currently looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager to manage and retain a portfolio of existing customers within the business alongside winning new accounts. 


Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • The role is split between managing a portfolio of accounts and generating new business
  • Ensure expectations for customers are achieved alongside providing a high level of customer service.
  • Responsible for articulating the brand proposition within the market place to build brand recognition & attract new customers
  • Meet monthly, quarterly & annual targets
  • Hitting the weekly growth in pipeline KPI
  • Building strong relationships with clients by helping them achieve their business goals and improving their business performance
  • Consistently exceeding the customers’ expectations 
  • Championing the company brand promise and culture every day
  • Meet the weekly expectation for pipeline growth as agreed with the Sales Manager each month
  • Hit & exceed monthly target as per annual budget
  • Update activity management report daily
  • Prepare customer account plans as required
  • Prepare opportunity reviews as required
  • Planning the day
  • Booking appointments with new and existing clients as required
  • Dealing with customer queries daily within 24 hour hours after receiving enquiry / query
  • Submit customer proposals within 48 hours or sooner after identifying the opportunity, should the nature of the enquiry prevent this, feedback must still be given to the client within the timeframe
  • Ensure all customer visits / calls are conducted on time, well prepared & with professionalism
  • Attend all meetings, internal and external, daily 
  • Order processing as required 
  • Uphold brand values / deliver the promise at all times
