PK5678 - INTERNAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Up to £30K Basic + Commission + Benefits 

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of packaging machinery, protective packaging and ancillary products into a variety of markets worldwide. They are currently looking to recruit an Internal Business Development Manager to generate new business. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Build and develop your own product knowledge within the full assortment
  • Offer outstanding customer service
  • Create, maintain and schedule tasks which form your Activities list
  • Action emails
  • Maintenance and organisation of individual email inbox
  • Maintain and update pro-activity log
  • Create and update leads and opportunities
  • Record all phone calls relating to an Account on CRM
  • Completing Opportunities within the given timescales of 1 month for Distributors and 3 months for End Users 

Generate New Business Through Pro-activity:

  • Outbound calls and emails
  • Research and contact new leads
  • Maintain and update the pro-activity log
  • Create and update new leads through CRM
  • Generate appointments for External ASM to trial / demo the product

General administration:

  • Ensure lead contacts are up to date and are recorded correctly on CRM  
  • Completion of trial requests and collection requests (Leads only)
  • Complete required tasks (Lead follow ups)
  • Ensure all emails relating to the customer are tracked to the correct Account entity i.e. Opportunity or Lead
  • Action all incoming emails and inbound calls relating to new enquiries 
  • Outbound calls and emails

Sales focus – hit and exceed targets:

  • Monitor Sales performance against monthly and quarterly targets and take action to ensure targets are met and exceeded

Develop relationships:

  • Support other Internal Team members roles when required
  • Build a relationship with the corresponding External ASM

Communication:

  • Ensure all necessary areas of the business (Accounts / Service / Purchase etc.) are kept fully up to date on issues requiring their attention
