Our established Client is a manufacturer of innovative and quality based flexible packaging solutions for a highly demanding and ever changing international market place.  

This ambitious and highly successful organisation produces a wide range of Printed Flexible Packaging for Confectionery, Cheese, Industrial and Postal / Mailing Films.   Their on-going investment and desire to stay one step ahead of the game in terms of innovation and technology has allowed them to not only meet, but exceed customer expectations. A key part of their success also derives from the addition of new processes and services for both European and emerging markets.  

They are on the search for a candidate with an in-depth knowledge and appreciation of customer requirements in this ever-changing market to be responsible for maintaining and developing quality and compliance standards, processes and reporting.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a flexible approach to carry out a wide variety of tasks. To succeed in this role, you must have a high attention to detail and good problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also key.

Duties will include:

Maintaining the Quality Management System, including HACCP, internal audits, equipment calibration, training and traceability
Ensuring the manufacturing processes are within the customer defined limits and comply with food safety and quality parameters set out in the specification
Day to day management and performance of the QC & hygiene teams, ensuring they are supported and encouraged to push forward improvements
Champion and drive improvements and the ‘Right First Time’ ethos
Handle internal non-conformances and customer complaints, investigation issues to find root cause and implement rectification and improvement plans
Liaise with managers from other departments and staff throughout the business to ensure quality standards our maintained
Manage and conduct third party supplier and customer audits

Candidates must have at least 2 years Quality Management experience in the food packaging industry and a working knowledge of BRC Food Safety, along with being HACCP and Food hygiene trained.

Ideal Candidate background:-   Experience of working within a BRC Accredited Flexo Printed Laminated Packaging environment.
