World leading Developer and Manufacturer of Drive Technology has an opportunity for an Internal Sales Engineer to target the OEM market

SALARY: Up to £34,000

BENEFITS: Annual bonus + Pension + Private medical (incl. Partner) + 22 days leave, rising to 25 + Life insurance

LOCATION: Abingdon

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Abingdon, Oxford, Reading, Didcot, Bicester, Farringdon, Thame, Wallingford, Newbury


As an Internal Sales / Technical Sales Engineer you will report to the Sales Office Manager and be responsible for sales into OEM’s, within various industry sectors including; Food & Beverage, Logistics, Waste / Water treatment, Corrugated Packaging and Paper.

This is a proactive role that will require both Sales and Technical ability, as you will be;

·The main point of contact to UK customers providing customer service, technical advice and sales requirements to each customer’s individual needs.
·Identifying potential customers and establishing dialogue
·Providing technical back-up for external sales managers / engineers
·Helping to develop and grow sales to existing and new customers through offering technically sound and cost effective drive solutions matching customer needs.
·Dealing with telephone enquiries from customers.
·Selecting appropriate product(s); prepare quotations and reports for customers as required.
·Supporting external sales team with technical and commercial support

REQUIREMENTS - Internal Sales Engineer

·Technical background - ONC / HNC / Apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
·Demonstrable record of sales achieving targets.New Business Generation experience.
·Excellent planning skills.
·Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written.
A training program will be put in place to cover both sales and product training; the program will be based on individual requirements
