£11.00 - £11.50 Per Hour
DAY SHIFT – Could become a double day shift in the future

Our client is a well-established polythene packaging manufacturer supplying a range of products to food, animal feed, horticulture, aggregates and building products markets. Able to offer the full solution under one roof, they have facilities to print, laminate and convert and have recently invested in some new machinery.
They are currently looking for a Flexo Printer with experience operating either 4, 6 or 8 station flexo presses on film.

Key Skills/Responsibilities: 

  • Promoting and adhering to safe working practices
  • Setting up and running the printing presses, putting on stereos, mixing inks etc
  • Colour matching
  • Flagging defective material and potential issues
  • Monitoring quality from a running press
  • Inspecting reel end samples and adjusting as necessary to maintain quality
  • Ensuring data is accurately recorded
  • Following Work Instructions and Customer Specifications
  • Meeting or exceeding performance standards with regard to safety, waste, quality, productivity and environmental standards
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy environment
  • Actively getting involved with initiatives and projects
  • To have an understanding of all procedures relevant to the role
  • Key performance indicators – safety, waste, productivity, quality, absence and aib score
  • Cooperates and works well with others in the pursuit of team goals; shares information; supports others
  • Adaptable; receptive to new ideas; willing and able to adjust to changing demands and circumstances
