Primary Responsibilities:  Interaction with member companies through a variety of different routes: visits to members to present and discuss our services such as training courses , helping to organise and attending events. 

The role will be based in our Hertfordshire office ( with some flexibility to wfh) and will require the successful candidate to travel throughout the UK, often in Europe and sometimes around the world so will involve spending time away from home.

Duties in Detail

Training:  Working with the Technical Director on preparation and delivery of  training courses, both open and in-company events.  In-company training preparation will involve visits to members to discuss and prepare content specifically tailored for the member company.  Working with the office manager to identify and organise appropriate venues for the open events.

Member visits:  Visiting existing member companies to discuss and promote our services and events to ensure members get full value from their membership.  Reporting internally on new developments at member companies and exploring new ideas for how to best meet any new services they might need us to offer.  Identifying and meeting with potential new members to promote memberships, offering and services.  This will be through direct visits and also through time spent at UK and European trade events

Project Management:  To manage projects , preparing time lines and reporting to the committee on progress made.  Preparation of reports which will then be delivered to the Committee

 Event Management: Working with the CE and Office Manager to promote and deliver our set piece events such as the Annual Forum and Innovation Day.  Also helping to promote and deliver other ad hoc events ..

Statistics Generation:  Collation and presentation of the annual aerosol filling survey in conjunction with the Stats Panel and PR Agency.

Skills: Preferably a graduate in either a science or engineering discipline the applicant will have either direct or indirect knowledge of the aerosol industry.  Strong presentational skills with the ability to deliver at a variety of levels within member companies.  Robust project management capabilities are essential with a desire to take things through to completion.  

Competencies: Self-motivated and a strong communicator , you will have the skills to engage with, listen to and talk with people from members companies at all different levels.  A team worker but also prepared to take responsibility for their own work stream and to develop and promote new ideas.

Essentials: Must be fluent in written and spoken English.  Knowledge of one or more additional languages would be useful but is not essential.  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and hold a full UK driving licence.   

Salary : up to £45k + private medical insurance, 4 x salary life insurance and a contributory personal pension scheme.
