The company creates industry leading production lines and high performance machines that enable their customers to achieve world class factory productivity. Their portfolio covers product handling, packaging, dosing and filling, high speed automation, palletising and integration, serving the Nutritional, Beverage, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industries.
The key objective of this role is to develop and grow new business and to achieve targets for equipment order intake and associated services. To prospect and develop new customers, capture requirements, coordinate the preparation of proposals and quotations in partnership with applications teams and close the sale. Post sale the Sales Manager will support the business to develop long term relationships with customers.
⦁ Identify, engage & close opportunities selling the full range of our client’s equipment and service solutions
⦁ Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
⦁ Grow sales into allocated area or sector through new customer acquisition
⦁ Maximise sales to each customer using techniques of cross-selling & value selling
⦁ Establish internal network of contacts within the company and offer full scope solutions
⦁ Work with applications teams to define scope and concepts for proposals
⦁ Provide accurate and timely reports on sales activities and maintain accurate CRM data
⦁ Follow defined and structured sales methodology
⦁ Develop customer and sector sales plans
⦁ Acquisition and growth of customer base
⦁ Business development skills (e.g. cross selling)
⦁ Sector, customer and product knowledge
⦁ Relationship management and networking
⦁ Solution selling
⦁ Engineering Degree or related trade certification
⦁ Minimum of five years related field sales experience
⦁ Previous sales experience within the capital machinery industry
⦁ Excellent written and verbal communication skills English
⦁ Ability to cultivate positive relationships with both customers and internal staff
⦁ Ability to work independently
