CUSTOMER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE / TELESALES - PACKAGING
SOUTH WALES

Salary up to £26K + Benefits + Pension + 25 days (+ bank) Holidays

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:45am - 5pm (45 minute lunch)

Our Client delivers innovative concepts with technological and commercially viable packaging solutions for a broad base of customers predominantly in Personal Care, Automotive, Food & Beverage markets in the UK.

They are seeking a proactive business development focussed Customer Service Representative, primarily to identify and develop new business opportunities in existing and new customers and maximising both revenue and profitability.

You will be confident at seeking out usage details from clients, supplying solutions and pricing and closing accounts over the phone. For complex or high volume accounts you will arrange appointments for the external sales team to visit. You will also have a small number of accounts to manage on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage large volumes of incoming calls
  • Generate sales leads and close
  • Actively research, contact and establish relationships with new potential customers, by phone, email and other suitable methods
  • Maximise revenue and profit for new and existing customers
  • Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Communicate to the Sales Manager and rest of the commercial team all potential new business
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Desire to actively learn and progress
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Conduct presentations for monthly sales meetings and occasionally the senior team
  • Meet personal/customer service team sales targets and call handling quotas
  • Identify competitors and their strengths and weaknesses
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Take the extra mile to engage customers

Requirements:

  • Proven customer support and Sales experience
  • Experience in the packaging industry would be an advantage
  • Track record of over-achieving Targets
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices is preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and organised with the ability to Prioritise in line with department and business goals
  • Experienced in Microsoft software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.…
  • Related qualifications would be an advantage e.g. Business studies
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
