QUALITY ENGINEER

Our client is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team. You will be working with the Site Quality Manager and Production teams and your role will be to find the cause of quality defects as well as developing the production and maintenance processes to eliminate re-occurrence.

The role will require you to have knowledge of improvement techniques, deep understanding of machine standards and principles of operation; engaging operational personnel to take full responsibility of the companies' products.

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Audit Production compliance with QC Procedures and identify improvements / gap plans
  • Meticulously document manufacturing problems and work with production and engineering to find a solution and preventative processes
  • Coach and develop problem solving techniques within production teams to create a zero defect culture and results
  • Improvement plans to drive the removal of positive release through QA process development to complement QC processes
  • Own all Customer Complaint Investigations through to resolution - Manage the collection and communication of Customer Complaint Information
  • Visit customers and suppliers as required to investigate Complaint issues
  • Update current Calibration practises with engineering to improve the health / condition of the machines and audit the use and skills of Operators when performing Quality measurements
  • Agree with Quality Manager, Projects to improve the Quality-related KPI's, Timelines and Targets for all KPI improvements
  • Agree key contacts within customer and Production to enable data collection and access to systems and procedures
  • Review customer process lines for critical contact points of the companies product
  • Establish the companies value for the identified product dimensions
  • Work towards matching the customer line process parameters with the companies dimensional variation and values
  • Suggest product modifications to improve line efficiency
  • Identify product Innovation solutions that improve line efficiency or product quality
  • Agree reporting mechanism to customer and the companies of progress against Process, Product and Quality improvement KPI's
  • Regularly Present Production Quality KPI performance at selected meetings
