PACKAGING DESIGNER

MIDLANDS

£23K - £25K (Dependent on Experience) + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Pension + Benefits

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Packaging Designer who will report to the Design Manager. They will be responsible for developing design projects according to customer's needs and following through to main production.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce clear and technically accurate drawings based on instructions / specifications from customers and CSR / IAM's
  • Create grids and layouts in Kasemake and maintain database records
  • Deliver a high accuracy level and ensure your attention to detail is consistently maintained
  • Produce and send, when requested, samples to customers for approval
  • Work cohesively as a team to ensure the workload is handled efficiently
  • Ordering and liaising with suppliers to produce accurate cutters and blocks for production
  • Liaise with production and die-cutting on deadlines for tooling that maybe required
  • Produce samples from print or epson prints for business / customer approval that will assist production in producing orders correctly
  • Attend multi-functional quick response or process improvement meetings as required, to resolve production and customer queries
  • Communicate with other teams within the business to elimiate potential production issues, prior to specification creation
  • Attend pre production planning meetings to explain your complex designs to the wider business
  • Liaise with suppliers to increase your knowledge of available materials, inviting suppliers to meetings as needed
  • Comply with any other reasonable request made by Management
  • Ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and other legal requirements are maintained at all times
  • Respond to and ensure the ISO standards, together with any other systems / procedures are maintained at all times
