JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager : Weighing & Bagging Packaging Machinery / PPMA / Food Manufacturer
Brand new role based at our UK site in Nottingham.
You'll be working alongside and shadowing the experienced UK Sales Manager, supporting the sales process, following up leads, contacting existing and lapsed customers from our database.
You'll take initial site visits with these customers - across the UK - to establish requirements and organise quotes from head office. On larger deals, the UK Sales Manager will support the closing of new business, whilst you maintain the relationship and account manage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager : Weighing & Bagging Packaging Machinery / PPMA / Food Manufacturer
· Primarily an account management role - supporting the sales process and developing client relationships
· Follow leads and enquiries to open lines of communication and maintain existing contacts
· Take customers abroad to manufacturing sites in Italy to present machinery / equipment and act as host for the visit. This will be half a dozen times a year for a couple of days at a time
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager : Weighing & Bagging Packaging Machinery / PPMA / Food Manufacturer
· You've got a track record of success selling a technical product or service - ideally capital equipment or other big ticket sales. Definitely dealing with larger order values.
· You'll be used to managing longer sales cycles (6-18 months)
You've most probably got a technical qualification - HNC / ONC + in something relevant. Good experience of sales management of a technical product supersedes any piece of paper, though.
