Business Development Manager - Luxury Packaging
An exciting chance has arisen for an Account Manager – Chilled and Produce to join our External Sales team based at our Head Office in Spalding. This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual with at least two years’ experience in an account manager role who is looking to join a progressive company.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Use Excel for Customer/Coveris stock and forecasting
- Raise a DOA and understand the process
- Effective Negotiator - completed ENS - uses affectively (demonstrated examples)
- Prepare a tender for submission to the commercial team
- Negotiate a contract on own initiative
- Understand the BASIC financial metrics: GM / EBITDA / MM / CC
- Develop a plan to improve the financial metrics for any individual account
- Gain insight into the customer needs
- Develop solutions to meet the customer needs
- Develop a CAP plan and share with internal and external stakeholders
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships at day to day level
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships with decision makers and influencers
- Develop and deliver communication in a variety of ways across a diverse audience - internally and externally
- Plan and prep for a meeting and meet with the customer without more senior involvement
- Receive communication in a small or large group and participate affectively
- Present to a customer the basic Coveris offering
- Build a customer bespoke presentation to show customer needs
- Present to a customer regarding the corporate and group structure
- Considers meeting objectives and anticipated outcome prior to any customer meeting
- Write reports to customers / internal colleagues that are clear and understood
- Plan the week effectively to maximise external call activity and revenue generation
- Set own budget, monitor and review regularly and foresee negatives and positives
- Ensure initiatives are followed through and delivered as expected
- Holds themselves and others to account for delivering results
- Design feedback loops into the workplace to measure success
Key Requirements:
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all levels within client and internal arenas
- Great problem solver
- Commercially aware
- Strong customer service skills
- Can be trusted and can hold information in confidence
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong commercial execution
- Minimum experience of 2 years in an account manager role
- Demonstrate selling skills
- Basic Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Outlook knowledge
- Always takes full ownership
- Organised, calm under pressure with great attention to detail
- Friendly, approachable and flexible – a team player
- Travel maybe required therefore current, clean driving licence an advantage
