NEW VACANCY! (PK7151)
AREA MARKETING MANAGER
Salary £20- 24K (including Bonus) + Death in Service Benefit + Healthcare
Are you a few years into your career and ready for a new challenge? A bit disillusioned? Are you wanting to develop and are looking for guidance and training? Are you looking for a business to recognise your commercial strengths and invest in you for the long term?
Our client are a converter of plain & printed polypropylene, laminates and special films, primarily servicing large UK food manufacturers, in bakery, morning goods, snacks and confectionery type markets. The products they supply are technically bespoke for individual applications.
Culture is very important to our client and is captured by the values - Caring, Sharing, Being Different. This is equally important for relationships with their people, customers and suppliers. They all work by these principles on a daily basis, it drives their decisions.
They have a track record of developing people and for them to move around the business after an initial period has been completed. They have a Commercial Academy which is structured to train and develop their people as a team and individually. This helps develop technical skills but also personal skills that you can take into everyday life and relationships. They are passionate about training and developing each of the team.
The roles vary from marketing to prospects and to the existing customer base, through to Customer Champions who look after their largest customers, to Technical Customer Champions who also work closely with their suppliers.
About this role:
Initially you would be working with large prospects and customers in conjunction with the Area Sales Manager. You would generate a plan of what relevant marketing materials can be sent to different people in the target company and for creative ways to do that. Your aim is to generate sufficient interest for an appointment to be made. You will be influencing relationship building over a period of time rather than selling directly.
So, when the prospect or customer has a problem, a new project or is looking for an alternative supplier this company are the company that 'springs to mind'.
Once that is done you would continue to work as part of the team to win the work and then remain in contact to make sure the customer continues to be happy with us and the two businesses grow together.
This is a key role. Every customer is important.
The company would love you to have some experience in a customer service role, have some creative ability or a technical side that makes you want to take things apart and understand how they work!
But if not, do not worry, they can work with that with the person who has the right attitude and values.
If you feel this may be your next career move we would love to hear from you.
