BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

HOMEBASED - TERRITORY: NORTH EAST - Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Teesside & North Yorkshire

Salary Range Circa: £30-late 40's on a basic salary + Excellent Open-Ended Commission + Car / Car Allowance

Our Client is a market leading packaging distributor supplying a vast range of products to a wide variety of industrial markets throughout the UK.

Due to a major investment into the business my client is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. The role to start with is approx. 75% new business however this will change as you build your portfolio.

Job Description:

  • Looking for an ambitious, proactive, professional and hungry Business Development Manager
  • You will be expected to seek out customers with a minimum annual spend of £50,000 a bespoke product requirement and high service level expectations
  • The role requires a dedicated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • A self-starter, you will need to bring commitment, drive and enthusiasm to work every day
  • The individual will display gravitas and command respect from peers, superiors and team members alike
  • The ability to work comfortably and converse well at all levels is a must

To be considered for this role as a Business Development Manager you will:

  • Be an experienced and successful Business Development Manager with experience selling into key target industries - engineering, automotive, fulfilment, aerospace
  • Have experience of dealing with key accounts at a high level
  • Have experience of building a robust and effective pipeline and converting this to profitable business, targeting large accounts
  • Generate own leads
  • A track record of new business development
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships
  • The ability to hit and exceed targets
  • Be a natural problem solver
  • Have well developed consultative sales skills and commercial acumen
  • Be well organised, professional and structured in your work and sales administration
  • Have an inherent ability to relate to people effectively and appropriately at all levels
