Business Development Manager - Strapping




Up to £40-45K + Bonus' + Car / Car Allowance + 22 days Holiday + Excellent benefits

Our client is one of the fastest growing independent packaging businesses in the UK. The business has grown revenue every year since their foundation in 2010, generating a turnover in excess of £20m in the most recent financial year.

It is our client's mission to be at the forefront of the packaging market, solving real problems for their customers with innovative and effective solutions at every opportunity.

As part of their continued growth plans, they are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to develop their sales of Strapping and associated products within the UK. The role will be a mix of managing a portfolio of existing accounts worth approx. £2million and also generating new business.

Key Deliverables:

  • Build the company's Packaging's Market Share of UK strapping sales
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Manage the current portfolio of accounts
  • Identify opportunities for profitable growth within existing and prospect customers
  • Provide regular updates on trading performance and sales plan to the Commercial Director
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Market, Industry, Competitors and Future Forecasts

To be successful in the role, Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience within the UK Packaging Market, it would be beneficial to have a knowledge of the Steel & Polyester hand tool strapping market
  • Commercial awareness
  • Proficient IT Skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation sk
  • Willingness to embrace change
  • Proactive problem solver
