Our Client is a privately owned BRC accredited carton manufacturer based in the North of England. They sell into a range of markets including finance, FMCG, manufacturing, communications, cosmetic, beauty, household, DIY and pet care markets.

They are looking to recruit a CAD Designer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of packaging design from creative concept through to final technical specification and 3D
  • Engineering of structural packaging and related components using Arden Impact CAD software, considering production processes and material, to meet client aesthetic and business goals
  • Providing technical packaging consultancy, including but not exclusively the technical analysis of client briefs
  • Communicating with other employees to progress a given project and develop job-related skills
  • Developing knowledge of relevant packaging production processes and materials both through given training and self-started research
  • Planning and managing a varied workload with a pro-active and flexible attitude
  • Working with commitment to quality and continuous improvement

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years' professional experience using Arden Impact CAD software including the production of technical drawings
  • Academic or professional background in product design or engineering discipline
  • Full computer literacy - familiarity with Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical problem solving and interpretation of technical briefs and concepts
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Experience within structural packaging design within a print environment and related sectors
