CAD OPERATOR /PROGRAMMER

We are currently looking for experienced CAD operator to join our team within our cutting dies division within our headquarters in Greater Manchester. The main objective of the role is to produce CAD/CAM files to feed into the production of our tooling and to provide technical support to customers as required.

CORE COMPETENCIES

• Prepare CAD files for the manufacture of cutting and creasing dies and associated tooling,
• Be able to appreciate how the design relates to the customers machine and end product.
• Be able to interpret the customers’ requirements on any given order and, in the event that any missing or unclear information, be able to communicate clearly with the customer to get the correct outcome.
• Utilize Impact CAD software, and other software where needed, to deliver a “right first time” production file.
• Operate within the company procedures and checks to produce a high level of product.
• Interact and liaise with shop floor staff to ensure designs are suitable, and are best practice, for manufacture.
• To ensure safe working practices are operated and main trained in line with Health & Safety regulations / policies

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Experience within the packaging industry
• Experience in CAD software ( Ideally Impact CAD , although in house training will be given).
Please note: There is also a role available at a junior level for the right candidate with no experience. Full training will be given.
