Customer Services Manager



Salary Guide: £38K - £40K + Bonus + Pension + 25 Days Holiday

Hours of Work: 37.5 Hours per week

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Customer Service Manager who will lead, manage and develop the Customer Service Team (currently 9) to ensure that all sales enquiries, orders, new product development, complaints and queries are processed to both internal and external customer satisfaction and to ensure clear communication channels exist between departments.

A methodical and proactive approach with a positive, calm disposition is required for this role. our client is looking for a strong manager who has customer services experience and has managed change


  • Manage, motivate and develop the Customer Service Team through the day to day interactions, 1:1s and team meetings on a monthly basis
  • Manage specific accounts within their customer portfolio
  • Ensure telephones are answered promptly and professionally and that enquiries are processed, and orders created through the Customer Service Team
  • Deal with any internal and external queries and complaints and keep customers updated
  • Ensure workloads and phones are covered for absence and that workloads are kept balanced throughout the team
  • Manage stock levels in line with Customer Service level agreements and take action accordingly, including aged stock and invoices in dispute
  • High drive towards continuous improvements in all business areas
  • Provide Monthly Reporting on KPIs, as required
  • Implementing Customer Service strategies to improve quality of service


  • Experienced Manager of people with a proven track record of developing and engaging others, working with and through members of the team
  • Team and Customer orientated, previous experience working with Customer Service administration is preferred
  • Consistent accurate attention to detail, with a flexible and adaptable attitude
  • Organised with ability to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Data collection and analysis experience is essential
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal
  • PC literate to an advanced level
  • Commercial acumen
  • Excellent customer care and focus to provide a positive customer experience
