Our client, a well-established packaging company based in Dubai, is seeking a General Sales Manager to lead the company’s commercial and sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and support operational efficiency. Please note,  the client will consider candidates from any sector of Packaging or Print. Candidates must have some held the role of Sales Director in the last ten years. 

Role Overview

As General Sales Manager, you will take ownership of the sales and commercial functions of the business. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue, expanding market share, developing high-performing sales teams, and executing data-driven strategies that align with the company’s operational goals and long-term growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial strategy, identifying new business opportunities and key growth areas
• Drive top-line revenue by developing and executing effective sales plans
• Define, monitor, and exceed key sales KPIs including revenue targets, client acquisition, customer retention, and profitability margins
• Manage key accounts and build long-term client relationships
• Analyse market trends and competitors to inform pricing, product positioning, and sales strategy
• Collaborate with operations to ensure sales goals are aligned with production capabilities
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team across multiple channels
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting for the sales department
• Report directly to the board on sales performance and contribute to strategic planning

• Proven experience in senior sales or commercial leadership roles in the packaging or printing industry
• Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales KPIs
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
• Commercially astute with a deep understanding of market dynamics and client needs
• Operational awareness and ability to collaborate across departments for cohesive execution
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
