SHIFTS: Day Shifts - Typically weighted toward an 'early' as 07:00 - 15:00.

Our client is looking for evidence of exceptional ability from committed, highly skilled Gluing Machine Operators. You will be responsible for output of high-quality production involving some unconventional machine processes and cross-functionality onto other finishing machinery, requiring speed & operational efficiency, colour management, quality inspection & thorough ongoing machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Glue machine operating: BOBST Media 68 / 100
- Offline overall UV coating machine operating: Steinemann Colibri 74
- Quality management and quality inspection
- Achieving target run speeds
- Maintaining departmental performance and maintenance
- Control of departmental documentation and consumables
- Adopting the company's production IT systems
- Shared responsibility for the gluing and UV coating department
- Reporting to the Production Manager & Managing Director
Requirements:
- Experience running BOBST or similar gluing machines
- Experience in folding carton production or similar
- Experience with straight-line, crash-lock, complex, 4/6 corner gluing processes
- Experience across other print finishing machinery desirable
- High levels of energy to keep pace with ongoing production demand
- Willingness to undertake overtime when required
- Mechanical aptitude to maintain machines and address breakdowns
- An interest in the printing and packaging industry
- A genuine willingness to assist in all areas necessary
- Able to work well under pressure
- Good IT, written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in new technologies
- A positive attitude toward meeting challenges and a strong work ethic
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability
- An interest in progressing with the Company
