MACHINE OPERATOR - DAYS
LANCASHIRE / WEST YORKSHIRE BORDER
Up to £25 - 27K per annum
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday - 8am to 5pm, Friday - 8am to 2pm
Our client does have plans to transition to 4 days towards the end of the year and this will be 7am-7pm Mon-Thurs.
Our client is a well-established corrugated packaging company based in the North West. They are currently looking to recruit a Machine Operator to join their production team.
You will be responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing machinery, working in dedicated capacity specialising in a single machine or class of machines this will include a . die-cutter (Eterna Auto Flat bed)
Please note my client is happy to invest in training a candidate with the right attitude and who is keen to learn
Responsibilities / Requirements:
- Knowledge of safe machine practice standards
- Physical Agility
- Technical Ability
- Spatial understanding
- Ability to do small to moderate repairs on machinery
- Report any faults to the works engineer as well as any safety issues or concerns
- Maintain optimal running speeds without sacrificing product quality
- Good attendance and timekeeping
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good organisational and self-motivational skills
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Be self-motivated
- Be enthusiastic in attitude and approach to work
- Excellent communicator to all levels of Managers and Employees
- Adhere to production schedule
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Operate a range of machinery to manufacture corrugated packaging
- Maintain and monitor machine to make sure it functions properly
- Set and run machinery to defined standards
- Conduct quality checks periodically
- Verify adequate materials and supplies are available to complete operations
- Analyse machine operations and output if applicable
- Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production
