Exciting, challenging opportunity to project manage Innovation introductions, encompassing all aspects of material development & trialling to ensure technical capability in accordance with the project brief, ensuring that the final product is developed within the defined NPD Process and delivered ‘fit for purpose’, on-time and within budget.
Leading cross functional project teams
Deliver, through agreed NPD processes, successful component development which meets defined criteria related to substrate, structure and functionality.
Project review, ongoing cross-functional knowledge share and continuous Improvement focus to ensure the ongoing development and improvement of NPD change processes and supporting documentation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that specified objectives are delivered throughout the product and component development lifecycle, predominately with Brand Directors and Senior Brand Managers internally and suppliers externally.
Act as guardian of the NPD Process and monitor compliance to the stage gate process.
Research and identify external trends and best practice world class NPD to develop and contribute new ideas to the innovation pipeline.
Qualifications & Experience required
Degree Level qualified or equivalent e.g. Institute of Packaging Diploma or substantial experience in either an FMCG or packaging environment.
2-5 years experience of packaging print processes and understanding of packaging and material componentry, its functionality and performance requirements.
Proven extensive track record in Complex Project Management.
Strong Organisational Skills and administrative aptitude as demonstrated via effective delivery of stakeholder requirements within a change environment.
Knowledge of NPD Processes
Ability to successfully demonstrate the use of problem solving techniques.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise and achieve targets under pressure whilst managing conflicting priorities.
Innovative individual who is able to influence others whilst having the resilience to pursue issues to a satisfactory conclusion without excessive guidance.
