Packaging Manager -  Technical, Sustainability & Innovation  -  Food Brands & Retail

-Bringing people together from across the business and supply network to share insights and identify opportunities/needs for improving packaging performance, focusing on sustainability and innovation with passion & drive.

- Designing solutions to current and future environmental/customer challenges.  Building well researched, realistic plans with clear ownership, timescales and mapped interdependencies.  Describing how and when stakeholders will be engaged, solutions & benefits delivered, and how costs and benefits will be measured and shared

- Presenting complex information in simple, engaging ways to quickly build effective working relationships with my stakeholders and to build consensus and senior sponsorship for my projects. Using my understanding of the business and industry to develop key messages for a variety of audiences, describing my plans with empathy and conviction

- Engaging, motivating and mobilising people across business and industry, from director level downwards to formulate and deliver my plans

- Leading natural work teams containing functional experts from across the business and the wider industry

- Delivering change through packaging suppliers across our supply base to deliver best in class packaging standards

- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence

- Ensuring require brand packaging standards and quality documents are written, maintained and adhered to

- Working with technical managers to set the technical critical path for new packaging changes

Technical, New product development, supply chain, SRD, Regulatory Affairs, Category teams, Responsible Sourcing, Hubs, Design and Marketing, Customer Service, Testing labs, Artwork Agencies, Suppliers, Industry Bodies. government, NGO's

- Materials Science or similar (pref but not essential)
