The London office is home to the design and technical centre, with manufacturing capabilities in Europe.
Due to continued growth, the Company is seeking a Pre-Production Coordinator to join the SW London team.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Pre-Production, your job will be to ensure all documentation, printing plates, dies and any other relevant information needed for production are on-site and ready for printing to commence.
Training will be provided where necessary – our main objective is finding someone who can make a positive contribution to the team and to the work from the very beginning.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Initial creation of critical paths.
- Initial design (liaising with the customers designer to ensure it fits within print specification), through the approval process (commenting on PDFs or via online approval systems).
- Dealing with repro houses, die makers and plate makers to ensure all components required to print the job are at the factory in time.
- Checking print laydowns.
- Setting up of spec sheets.
- Attending Press passes if and when required.
Experience and Professional Qualifications:
- Flexo OR litho print knowledge is essential as you will be called on throughout the process in dealing with customers at initial artwork meetings.
- Accuracy and attention to detail under pressure is of the utmost importance in this role.
Skills Required:
- Excellent computer skills – Excel essential, Word, Outlook, Internet etc
- Able to operate in fast-paced environment
- Very strong organisational skills – organised, flexible, dependable, detail orientated
- Excellent communication skills (including good email writing)
- Must be diplomatic, professional and able to handle confidential information
- Friendly, outgoing, professional and polite
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision, be pro-active and take initiative

- Excellent all round communication and writing skills (including excellent telephone manner)
