PRODUCTION OPERATIVE

Salary £24,500 - £25,500 + Company Pension + Life Insurance + Excellent Benefits

Shift Pattern: Rotating Morning/Afternoon Shift, which is 5:30am to 1:30pm & 1:30pm to 9:30pm. Monday to Friday

Our Client is a major corrugated manufacturer and packaging materials supplier, providing packaging solutions to a variety of markets throughout the UK.

They are currently looking to recruit a Production Operative to learn and develop in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to join their team. This role will involve you working as part of a corrugator team, having excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will need to have a willingness to learn and embrace new skills which will be a fundamental requirement within the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all work is carried out safety with a focus on their incredibly high quality standards
• An eye for detail is required
• Ensure all equipment continues to be in a safe and operational condition
• Reporting any issues with equipment to maintenance so that it can be resolved
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards within your area of work
• Ensure quality standards are maintained at all times (training will be provided to identify issues and resolve them as part of a team)
• Ensure cleaning schedules are adhered to (weekly, monthly and quarterly)
• Employ continuous improvement techniques and share best practices with colleges
• Demonstrate flexibility to cover sickness and absence as required

Additional Details:

• Break for the Christmas Holidays
• Overtime is paid at increased rates and is necessary to become part of the team
• You will be required to cover your 'opposites' holidays when they are requested and visa-versa
• Offer college courses and additional levels of training for the individuals who show the desired qualities and want to progress further through the business
