QC OPERATOR CHESHIRE / MERSEYSIDE

£Minimum Wage + 25 days holiday + bank holidays + Overtime

Hours of Working: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (can be flexible)

Shift Hours For Cover: 6-1:30 And 1:30 - 9 Monday - Friday Rotating

The jobs will both mainly be days, however cover for shift for hols etc.
Cover for other shift QC technicians - paid at appropriate shift increase
Potential weekend cover - voluntary paid at appropriate overtime rates

Candidates need a good understanding of both written and spoken English.

Our client is a leading independent carton manufacturer based in the North West, they are looking to recruit a QC Operator to join their team.

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Batch release of finished product to ensure compliance and suitable quality and GMP compliance.
  • Approval of key raw materials
  • Filing of batch documentation, production samples and retained samples to ensure ease of retrieval and sustainability of records
  • Maintaining relevant records i.e. spreadsheets
  • Assist production to achieve quality compliance
  • Completing Risk Assessments for the non-use of key verification equipment i.e. pharmacode readers
  • Batch release of finished product in line with Company procedures
  • Highlighting non-conformances that may arise during the batch release process
  • Filing of retained and production samples
  • Filing of batch documentation
  • Quarantining any product which does not pass batch release processes
  • Assisting in the non-conformance process to ensure that information and samples are collected as necessary
  • Supporting production in both quality and GMP requirements
  • Completing traceability audits
  • Completion of C of C's or C of A's for released product
  • Inspection of key raw materials prior to production
  • Completion of month end stock takes
  • Transfer of product to stock system in MIS
  • Attention to detail, logical and methodical
  • Customer focused
  • Ability to challenge and question personnel, processes and procedures
  • Ensuring that out of specification product is segregated and clearly identified

Key Skills:

  • Good basic education
  • PC literate
  • Confidence to make decisions
  • Able to work under pressure and make accurate decisions
  • Logical and methodical in their approach to work
  • Understanding of documented systems
  • Working knowledge of key SOP's and documentation, including accept and reject criteria
  • Good understanding of GMP requirements
  • Good understanding of Customer Requirements and expectations
