An opportunity has arisen to join a European flexible packaging solutions producer that employs over 400 people and exports to over 35 countries, equating to 70% of sales.
They currently seek to further expand their sales of circa 1. 5million in the USA. To achieve this they are actively looking to engage a representative for the business who will offer a consultative approach, promoting the company’s technological expertise and excellent facilities.
The primary function of the Sales Representative is to develop business opportunities for the company’s product. This role will require the chosen individual to have the ability to source, engage and convert new clients and create long-term sustainable organic in the designated territories and beyond when necessary. The successful candidate will gain access to all new leads identified through recent promotional activities.
The Sales Representative will cooperate with and report directly to the Sales Director.
⦁ Designing and executing effective commercial strategies
⦁ Prospecting and targeting prospective clients within a defined sales territory
⦁ Designing and managing pricing/profitability strategies to ensure sustainable revenue growth while maintaining company profitability
⦁ Identifying specific targets and projecting the number of contacts to be made within a mutually agreed timescale
⦁ Developing and maintaining sales materials and current product knowledge
⦁ Participation in all sales presentations/negotiations
⦁ Maintaining and fostering relationships with internal departments and external suppliers/partners with regard to meeting and exceeding client requirements
⦁ Developing and maintaining all pertinent records and ad hoc reports for management reviews and strategic planning
⦁ Attendance of trade conferences and exhibitions
⦁ A formal education is preferred
⦁ Proven B2B sales experience and extensive contact lists
⦁ Experience in packaging sales (preferably flexible packaging)
⦁ Strong evidence of lead generation and prospecting.
⦁ Exceptional presentation and relationship building
⦁ Demonstrable experience in new business development / consultative sales.
⦁ Excellent networking, communication and influencing skills.
⦁ Self-motivated and able to work alone.
For EU roles, candidates must be eligible to work and live in the European Union.
