You will have responsibility for the packaging technical leadership of large regionally-led Innovation (Growth and Value Leadership) Platform/Projects on Customer Packaging Innovation, starting from ideation until the implementation.
You will act as a Packaging Technical Leader, understanding how to manage stakeholders & influence team members and drive results, while working in close partnership with key stakeholders including Customer Facing teams. Drive the shift towards Customer Centricity through Packaging design and understanding the Shopper missions, Customers and Channels needs. This role requires a great mixture of strategic thinking, understanding of the consumer, shoppers and customers, combined with technical understanding, in order to create the next generation of Customer Innovation in packaging and merchandising. You will lead/drive the prioritized initiatives working with cross functions through stage gates and ultimately launch.
You will lead Customer Innovation Platforms/Projects using a range of functional/technical knowledge across the R&D model (from front-end to implementation) and strategic skills, while working with cross functions and cross countries. Identify regional Packaging Customer Innovation business opportunities and provides leadership to drive regional Customer Innovation specific packaging initiatives across the organization, in full alignment with the key cross functions and cross countries. Primarily focused on Growth activities – but also covering Efficiency through value-leadership projects, and Quality through brand maintenance initiatives as required. You will fuel the Customer Packaging and Merchandising Regional pipeline, from consumer, shopper, channel and customer insight generation and translation to technical solutions that are desirable, feasible & viable and drive penetration of all of our key brands. Understanding of different Customer & Channel supply chains and the challenges/opportunities that this creates for Customer Innovation
You will partner with Key Cross Functional Stakeholders, including Customer Facing teams to develop and drive activities. Act as a Sustainability ambassador in the Region
Qualifications/Skills/competencies required :
Packaging/Science/Engineering/Technology/Product Design or related subject area with 7+ years packaging work experience and proven track record (on the Market). Relevant experience in industry field will be considered as an alternative to the above.
Candidates must have experience in developing Consumer and/or Customer Products & functional Packaging from concept through to commercialization in the food or fmcg markets. Strong technical project management experience (across quality, efficiency and growth projects). Have worked with business & R&D systems to manage projects from concept to launch. Experience across different areas of R&D (discovery, translation and sustain), specifically consumer, customer and shopper insight, sensory, concept development, packaging innovation and packaging development or implementation. Scoping, development and leadership of new product and/or packaging platforms. Well connected within the Packaging world (e.g. suppliers, agencies, consultants, customers)
