WAREHOUSE MANAGER OR SUPERVISOR ROLE- CARTONS

SOUTH EAST

£25K - £30K (Depending on the Role / Candidate) + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
Hours of working - 37.5 per week (no overtime for the manager position / possible for the supervisor) - depending on the candidate

Our client is a print and packaging design and manufacturing company serving a wide range of customers from start-ups to major high street retailers. They have an excellent reputation within the packaging industry for luxury and award-winning design. They are now looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years' experience managing / working in a warehouse environment.

Role / Responsibilities:

  • Arranging collections for parcels, pallets & mailings
  • Control goods coming in and going to the correct departments in the factory
  • Keeping accurate accounts of stock (stock management)
  • Organizing stock call-off and reviewing transport suppliers
  • Working closely with the Production Manager, Packaging manager and finishing departments, briefing on a daily basis to ensure operational requirements are achieved.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods
  • Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently
  • Forklift licensed (reach and counterbalance)
  • Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
  • Ensure productivity targets are achieved
  • Encourage as well as taking responsibility for their teams work
  • Regularly report on department KPIs
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food packaging are stored safely
  • Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment
  • Plan future capacity requirements
  • Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
  • Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
