Based; Home Based with frequent international travel

Basic Salary Circa: £55,000 + Uncapped Commission + Car  + 26 Days Holiday + Private Healthcare + Pension Scheme + Life Assurance  

My client is a highly regarded multinational packaging machinery manufacturer specialising in the development of packaging automation for a variety of industries such as; bakery, frozen & chilled food, confectionery and dairy. A huge international conglomerate, this organization has a very professional approach and a wealth of knowledge and resource which they use to great effect when engaging with international blue-chips.

The Role:

  • Reporting to the Head of Sales you will be responsible for driving growth in key account relationships while also spending a significant amount of focus on building new revenue streams.
  • Given the territories managed within this position it is likely that you will be involved in frequent international travel, this is part and parcel of the role.
  • Due to the nature of the solution offered you must have a good technical understanding of both how to deliver a complex, capital equipment sale but also have the ability to understand the complexity of the products themselves.
  • Regular involvement in market activity is essential to build and maintain the brand in each vertical market, regular attendance of trade exhibitions in addition to frequent network will be needed to ensure you have a continuous pipeline of new business activity.

The Requirements:

  • Ideally you will have acquired at least 5 years of experience within export sales in capital equipment, preferably packaging equipment.
  • Given the often highly technical nature of customer requirements you will be an intelligent individual capable of matching these requirements with the most appropriate solution.
  • In a perfect world this individual would also have first hand experience of end-of-line or secondary packaging solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of the food and consumer supply-chain.
  • Highly numerate with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to frequently work on an international basis (minimum 50% of the time).
  • Engaging personality with an ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
