-          Lead the development of new and existing packaging projects, ensuring fit for purpose function, costs, quality, aesthetics and on time component delivery.

-          Provide packaging technical support to customers and internal departments (Manufacturing, QA, Purchasing and Sales).

-          Pro-actively support the Packaging Innovation strategy by identifying and presenting relevant innovations.

-          Manage the technical packaging tasks for NPDs and EPD projects ensuring they are completed on time.

-          Complete, control and maintain packaging component specifications.

-          Identify, plan and complete relevant packaging performance tests.

-          Evaluate and present new packaging innovations relevant to the innovation strategy and customer needs.

-          Coordinate line trials and first production runs, report and resolve issues.

-          Assess artwork and provide feedback ensuring printability for the chosen print method.

-          Attend supplier press approvals and manage colour standards.

-          Must be able to work within a team and without full supervision, be a “self-starter”

-          Ability to track and clearly communicate status of their projects. Keeping the team informed of any delays, risks, issues and recommending actions for resolution.

-          Ability to understand packaging design characteristics that drive improved productivity.

-          Institute of Packaging (IoP) Diploma or equivalent (preferred but not essential)

-          3+ years Packaging Development experience in Cosmetics, Pharma or FMCG.

-          Ability to read and interpret 2D technical drawings is essential. Familiar with 3D CAD is an advantage.
