Are you highly experienced in people management? Do you have a background in packaging supply/distribution? Do you reside in Leicestershire?
This long-established business has an excellent reputation, they specialise in providing innovative and cutting-edge retail packaging solutions within the fashion, high street retail, beauty and cosmetics markets.
Following an internal restructure, the company is now seeking a Head of Internal Sales to manage a team of 16-18 Internal Sales Executives. This team have the important task of supporting the external sales team made up of Key and National Account Managers. It will be your responsibility to lead, motivate and develop your team ensuring performance is at its best, so although you won't be directly selling yourself, it is important that you have the commercial acumen required to influence suppliers and focus on margin management and profitability.
You do not need to have knowledge of the product range or market sectors as training will be provided. However, it is important that you have some experience of import/export and sourcing products from outside of the UK. A background in packaging distribution would be ideal, as would knowledge of the of the UK retail marketplace.
Communication skills are vital in order for you to succeed in this role, you will need to be a good listener who can present in a clear and concise manner.
In order to turn this opportunity into a reality you must;
- Have a proven background managing a medium size sales team (16-20 direct reports)
- Reside within a commutable distance of the office in Leicester
- Have experience of import/export/sourcing products from overseas
