BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER - Catering Disposables / Food Packaging

Salary Guide Circa £37.5K (Depending on Experience) + Bonus Scheme + 5% OTE + Company Car (Audi A3) + Pension + 22 days holiday + Private Medical (after 6 months)


Our client is a well establish and secure business specialising in a wide variety of packaging products with their core business being in the food packaging sector, they are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to cover predominantly south of Birmingham (will be some crossover so visits to customers in the North) selling mainly paper based, plus other packaging lines to add to the company's portfolio.

The role will be split approx. 60% - 70% existing business and 40% - 30% new business, my client is looking for someone who currently sells in to the catering disposable end user market and distribution customers, so experience in selling following: Coffee Cups, Plates, Food boxes, Straws, Napkins etc

  • A proven track record of retaining, growing and winning new business
  • Good product knowledge
  • Keen to adapt to innovation and the introduction of new products to develop new business opportunities
  • Able to use own initiative in decision making
  • Adapt effectively and work well both in a team environment and individually
  • Professional and motivated with the necessary drive to succeed in all aspects of business
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Budgeting, marketing, sales forecasts
  • Excellent communication skills twinned with excellent presentation skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Work to sales targets
