Key Account Manager - Food Service

Our client is a European Packaging Group with impressive recent business growth and they are looking for a Key Account Manager with Food Service experience who wants to be part of a forward thinking, challenging, innovative and evolving organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the following objectives:  
 

  • To deliver the budget in terms of value and profit
  • To develop all existing customers in line with annual plans
  • Seek out and convert new accounts for UK made and European FS offering

Key Responsibilities and Activities

  • Maintain and introduce long term relationships with current and potential customers to enable you to increase the volume and value of your assigned territory on a year by year basis
  • To carry out negotiations with customers to ensure that you are obtaining the maximum revenue and profitability from your designated area
  • Ensure that the Company is carrying the minimum amount of stock for your customers without jeopardising the supply position
  • Deal quickly and efficiently with any outstanding debtor or stock problems
  • Provide ongoing forecast sales figures via a monthly demand meeting to enable the Company to plan production demand
  • Work closely with Sales Administration to ensure that your customers are receiving exceptional service
  • Perform market analysis and research to support the business and underpin strategic decisions
  • Work with CDI to plan, design and develop new solutions and associated activities
  • Developing product line sales/training aids, support trade shows and provide internal communication on product line activities and status

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Good general standard of education
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrable experience of Food service account selling
  • Sound commercial acumen with financial appreciation of costings and pricing
  • Ideally an understanding of thermoformed packaging
  • Proven ability in sales negotiation skills
  • Clean driving licence
